    LinkedIn's data export leaves your profile address out, so without this the custom-URL check (3 of the 100 points) cannot be scored at all. If your file already carries the address, your file wins and this only fills the gap. An auto-generated link — the kind with digits on the end — is read honestly and still scores 0.

    On a phone, open linkedin.com in your browser and ask for the desktop site — the app has neither Save to PDF nor the data export. Chrome on Android: the three-dot menu, then Desktop site. Safari on iOS: the aA button in the address bar, then Request Desktop Website. Then Settings, Data privacy, Get a copy of your data — tick Profile, Positions, Skills and Education rather than Profile on its own, or the archive scores as somebody with no jobs and no skills — and upload the ZIP LinkedIn emails you. What each route needs, and how long it takes

Save to PDF

On the desktop view of your profile, click More, then Save to PDF. Your profile language has to be set to English, the file carries English characters only, and LinkedIn allows 200 of these downloads a month.

Ask LinkedIn for your data

On the data-privacy page, pick the individual files rather than the one large archive, tick Profile, Positions, Skills and Education, and request it. Profile on its own is only your name, headline and About — an archive with nothing else in it uploads fine and then scores as somebody with no jobs and no skills. Those files usually arrive by email within minutes and a larger archive within 24 hours; the download link stays live for 72 hours.

Questions people ask first

Why do you want a LinkedIn PDF and not my profile link?

Because fetching profiles by link means either scraping LinkedIn or asking for your password, and we do neither. The PDF LinkedIn makes for you carries the same text, and it is yours to hand over or not.

What happens to my file?

The PDF or ZIP is read once and deleted. The profile text taken from it is kept 30 days so you can re-score after your edits, then deleted in the nightly cleanup. Contact details are noted as present or absent, never stored. You can delete everything with one click on your report.

Why a role instead of a job description?

A role has a stable keyword list and a stable set of certifications, so the score means the same thing in January and in June. A single posting does not. You can score against a specific posting later, from your report, once you have seen the baseline.

Is this affiliated with LinkedIn?

No. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to LinkedIn. We never sign in as you and we never fetch anything from the site. LinkedIn is a trademark of its owner.

What if I think the score is wrong?

Open the area that looks wrong: every one of the 26 checks shows what it looked for, what it found in your export, and the points. If a check read your profile wrongly, that is a bug we want — tell us which check and which line, and it gets fixed in the rubric rather than argued about.
