Privacy Policy

This policy explains how PrepNPlaced collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use PrepNPlaced.com, CareerOS, courses, AI career tools, LinkedIn automation, and related services.

Information We Collect

  • Account information such as name, email address, login method, phone number if provided, and profile preferences.
  • Career workspace information that you choose to provide, including resumes, job descriptions, target roles, interview practice inputs, learning progress, course enrollment status, and LinkedIn automation preferences.
  • Generated content and operational metadata, such as AI drafts, resume outputs, scheduled LinkedIn post records, publish status, timestamps, and error diagnostics needed to run the product.
  • Payment and enrollment events from our payment processor. We do not store full card, UPI, or bank credentials on PrepNPlaced servers.
  • Technical data such as device type, browser, IP-derived security signals, cookies, logs, and performance diagnostics.

How We Use Information

  • To provide CareerOS features, including resume tools, job search, mock interviews, learning roadmaps, open learning, courses, and LinkedIn automation.
  • To generate AI-assisted career content, improve product quality, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and keep services reliable.
  • To send important service messages such as enrollment confirmations, payment notifications, post-publish notifications, security alerts, and support responses.
  • To comply with legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, and platform obligations.

Google Gmail Access

  • If you connect Gmail inside LinkedIn Automation, PrepNPlaced requests Gmail send permission so the product can send post-publish notification emails related to your scheduled LinkedIn automation workflow.
  • We do not use Gmail access to read your inbox, delete messages, scan unrelated email, sell email content, or send unrelated marketing from your Gmail account.
  • Gmail access is optional. LinkedIn automation can still be used without Gmail notifications where supported.
  • You can revoke Google access anytime from your Google Account permissions page.

LinkedIn Automation

  • When you connect LinkedIn, PrepNPlaced stores access tokens in encrypted form where supported and uses them only to perform actions you request or approve, such as scheduling and publishing posts through official LinkedIn APIs.
  • PrepNPlaced does not support fake engagement automation such as auto-liking, mass commenting, or unsafe scraping behavior.
  • Generated post drafts, visual previews, approval state, publish timing, and publish result metadata may be stored so the workflow can run reliably.

Score Your LinkedIn (LinkedIn Export) Data

  • When you upload your LinkedIn Save to PDF file or LinkedIn data-export ZIP to Score Your LinkedIn, we read it to give you a score, suggestions and, if you buy a pack, rewritten sections or an expert review.
  • The file itself is deleted as soon as it is read. What we keep is the profile text taken from it as structured data, your scores, and the rewrites. Contact details in the file are noted as present or absent and never stored: the email address and phone number printed in your export are not kept.
  • The profile text is kept for 30 days from your latest upload so you can re-score, then deleted in our nightly cleanup. Your score history stays with your account until you delete it.
  • A paid pack does not extend that: the profile text goes at 30 days on every plan. What the pack's 60-day window covers is your re-scores and the rewritten sections, which stay on your report while it is open.
  • If you opt in to a 30-day check-in, we keep only your before and after scores and your four answers.
  • An AI service run by Google (Gemini) reads the profile text to extract facts and draft the rewrites. Pack payments are processed by Cashfree; we do not store card, UPI or bank credentials. If you book the expert review, the WhatsApp number you give on the intake form is kept for that review and the follow-up call.
  • We never ask for your LinkedIn password and never sign in as you: you export the file yourself and upload it here. Score Your LinkedIn has no LinkedIn login and fetches nothing from LinkedIn on your behalf. PrepNPlaced is an independent education service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn.
  • You must be 18 or older to use Score Your LinkedIn. The upload asks you to confirm this before anything is read.
  • You can delete this data with one click on the report page, which also withdraws your permission, or email support@prepnplaced.com. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.

AI Processing

  • Some features use third-party AI providers to generate, review, or improve career materials and LinkedIn content.
  • Do not upload confidential, illegal, or highly sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the feature you are using.
  • AI output may be inaccurate and should be reviewed before use, especially for resumes, interview answers, job applications, and public social posts.

Referral And HR Contact Lists

  • Find Referrals shows the name, job title, company and public LinkedIn profile link of people in our founder's LinkedIn network, so job seekers can ask them for a referral. Message Writer and Find Referrals also show recruiters and HR people (name, job title, company and work email) from a shared list of HR contacts.
  • People on a paid plan or a free trial see names, job titles and companies; other accounts see only how many contacts a company has. Work emails are shown only on the Pro plan, one person at a time, up to 5 a day, and each one shown is logged. We never email these people ourselves, and we do not sell these lists.
  • Anyone on these lists can remove themselves at any time at prepnplaced.com/network-opt-out with a LinkedIn URL, full name or work email. No account is needed and removal is immediate. You can also email support@prepnplaced.com.

Sharing And Service Providers

  • We may share limited information with infrastructure, database, email, analytics, payment, AI, and OAuth providers only as needed to operate PrepNPlaced.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, or secure the platform.

Security And Retention

  • We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, secure transport, environment-based secret management, and encrypted token storage where applicable.
  • No internet service can guarantee perfect security. Users should keep account credentials private and revoke integrations they no longer use.
  • We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, improve safety, and maintain business records.

Your Choices

  • You may update profile details, disconnect optional integrations, contact support for account or data requests, and unsubscribe from non-essential communications where applicable.
  • You can revoke Google and LinkedIn permissions from the respective provider account settings.
  • To request access, correction, deletion, or support, email support@prepnplaced.com.
