How we build company ratings
PrepNPlaced tracks 2,425+ companies and 30 lakh+ verified employee reviews, refreshed nightly. Here is exactly how, in plain terms.
Where the ratings come from
We aggregate employee ratings from verified public review platforms — the same ratings employees leave about their own workplaces. We show the figures as reported, including a company's weakest categories, not just the flattering ones.
How fresh they are
Every company is re-checked on a nightly schedule, so ratings and review counts stay current. Each profile shows its last-refreshed date, and older data is flagged so you always know how recent it is.
What we filter out
We drop low-quality and junk entries before anything is shown, normalise company names so the same employer isn't split across duplicates, and only surface companies with a meaningful number of ratings.
Reviews submitted on PrepNPlaced
Anyone who has worked at a company can add their own rating through our portal. Submissions are moderated before they go live, and reviewers who verify with a work email or LinkedIn earn a ✓ Verified badge — their identity is never shown publicly.
Live hiring signal
Where we have matching openings in our job pool, we show how many roles a company is hiring for right now — a signal you won't find on a pure reviews site.
