How Ritesh made the switch
Ritesh studied Electrical Engineering and expected a career around circuits, machines and power systems. Data work was not on the map, and neither was code.
The first attempt was the usual one: YouTube videos and Excel tutorials. By Ritesh's own account everything felt scattered, with no roadmap and a lot of self-doubt.
That changed with Durgesh as a mentor. The two started from scratch (what data is, why SQL exists, how a business actually uses a dashboard) and kept going through resume reviews and mock interviews.
The result was an offer from Infor India, a product company, where Ritesh now works as a Senior Data Analyst.
In Ritesh's own words
Ritesh wrote the whole story on Medium on 4 October 2026. The lines below are copied from that post word for word.
- “I didn’t even know how to write a proper for loop.”
- “Late-night calls, screen shares, resume reviews, interview mocks – he helped me in everything without ever making me feel like I was asking a silly question.”
- “When I got the offer from Infor India, I stared at the email for 5 minutes.”
What this result is, and what it is not
It is one person's result, published with Ritesh's consent and linked to a LinkedIn profile and to a first-person account that anyone can read. It is not a placement guarantee. Durgesh taught and mentored; Ritesh sat the interviews and earned the offer.

Questions people ask about this placement
Can an electrical engineer become a data analyst?
Yes. Ritesh Gandhare studied Electrical Engineering, started with no coding experience, and now works as a Senior Data Analyst at Infor. Ritesh came through a cohort taught by Durgesh + 1:1 mentorship with Durgesh. It is one person's result, not a guarantee.
Did PrepNPlaced guarantee this placement?
No. PrepNPlaced does not guarantee placements. The cohort teaches, the mentorship guides, and the candidate clears the interviews.
What does Ritesh advise people from a non-tech branch?
Four things, from the Medium post: start even if you know nothing, find a mentor, follow one structured path instead of scattered videos, and do not quit when a query fails or an interview is rejected.
